A Day of Filming with WVU News

Spending the day working alongside Regan from WVU News was a meaningful and memorable experience for me as an artist. I’ve always been protective of the space I create for my clients, especially during procedures as personal as areola tattooing and scar revision. It’s an environment built on trust, privacy, and emotional safety, and until now, I had never allowed anyone into the room to film.
From the moment Regan arrived, I knew I had made the right decision. She carried herself with a calm, respectful presence that never once disrupted the energy of the space. She understood the importance of what was happening in the room without needing it to be explained, and she documented the day with a level of care that honored both the work and the people involved.
My client, Misty, was equally incredible. As a survivor, her strength and grace spoke volumes, and she shared her experience so openly and thoughtfully. She articulated the emotional impact of these services in a way that I think will resonate deeply with others who may be on a similar journey. It’s not easy to be vulnerable in that way, especially on camera, but she handled it with such authenticity.
That day was a reminder of why I do what I do. This work goes far beyond aesthetics, it’s about restoration, empowerment, and helping people feel whole again. Being able to share that process, even just for a day, felt important. And having the right people in the room made all the difference.
