I Am Now Board Certified in Nipple & Areola Tattooing

Updated: Feb 19

I am incredibly honored to share that I am now officially board certified in nipple and areola tattooing through the Alliance of Medical Tattooing (AMT).

This was not a weekend course. This was not a “pay and receive a certificate” situation.

This was a rigorous process that required:

• A lengthy, in-depth application

• Submission of detailed healed case work

• Professional references

• Personal references

• A formal interview

• Live critiques of my work by leaders in the medical tattooing field

Every part of the process required vulnerability, transparency, and proof of consistent excellence.

Why Board Certification Matters

Medical tattooing, especially nipple and areola restoration for breast cancer survivors, deserves the highest standard of care.

Board certification through AMT means:

• My work has been evaluated against national standards

• My ethics and professionalism have been vetted

• My technical skill has been critiqued at the highest level

• I am committed to continuing education and growth

It’s accountability beyond a license. It’s a commitment to mastery.

The First in West Virginia

I am now the first and currently the only board certified areola tattoo artist in West Virginia.

For a state like ours, where so many survivors struggle to access high-level paramedical tattoo services, this matters deeply to me.

Cancer survivors in Appalachia deserve award-winning excellence without having to travel out of state.

They deserve artistry. They deserve safety. They deserve dignity. They deserve someone who treats this work as sacred.

Still a Student

Even with this achievement, I still feel like I have so much to learn.

That’s the truth about mastery - the more you grow, the more you understand how much depth there is.

I will never be the artist who becomes stagnant. I will never do the bare minimum. I will continue training, refining, studying skin, studying pigment behavior, studying healing, and studying realism.

Because our survivors deserve the very best.

To My Clients

To every person who has trusted me with their body after reconstruction - thank you.

Your courage fuels my commitment.

This board certification is not just mine.It belongs to every survivor who allowed me to be part of their healing journey.

I promise to continue raising the standard in West Virginia.
